Why doesn't Compress size the anchor bolts for a vertical vessel with ring girder supports. How is seismic shear resisted at the anchors? I applied an artifical lateral force to the vessel to purposely overstress the lugs. There should be an uplift requiring anchor bolts but the calculation results don't show this.
How are the anchor bolts supposed to be designed for this condition?
