Dear all,

I would like to ask when to use iso grade 8.8 bolt in anchor bolt design and what are the major considerations in choosing between hilti anchor bolt and iso grade 8.8 bolt . Also, the pull out test load of hilti anchor bolt is 1.5 times the recommended load, what is the case for iso grade 8.8 bolt? Thanks.

Best regards,

Eric

Hi
what do you mean by ISO Grade 8.8 bolts ???
The name Grade 8.8 bolts mean nothing else than the strength of the bolt material
If you use a Hilti system you need to use whatever is given in the Hilti Approval for that bolt

best regards
Klaus

If you are using Hilti anchors, I highly recommend downloading their Profis anchor design software. It is very user friendly and you can select from various types/grades of anchors.
