Hi,

I work for a medical products company.

I have two c channels that would be bolted on a cold rolled steel base plate. A part with ball bearings on either ends would roll between these C Channels. I am trying to get a good aligning between the channels and a good assembly for the c channel to the base plate. I was designing for bolting it down but i dont know if I should take the welding route.

Attached is a picture for your reference.

Do a google search on linear slides and look at what is already engineered to do what you are asking.
