I'm not sure if this is the right forum to place my question, but there is a connection, you'll see.

Really, i don't know a whole lot about air dryers, but i do know is that they release heat while they are working.

I want to know how to calculate that heat, or where i can get a referencial number.

My particular case is a system that includes 3- screw type air compressors rated at 760 scfm each, 3 electric motors (100HP each) and air dryers all inside a building.

I'm trying to calculate the Air change rate for this place, but i believe i need to know the heat that the air dryers give off.

I don't have any company data sheets because we havn't bought anything yet, we're still designing this thing.

Can anybody shed some light on this subject? Please let me know if i'm missing some important information.

If the driers are air cooled, for every 12,000 BTU/hr of heat removed from the compressed air process you will reject about 15,000 Btu/hr into the space.

I'm not a real engineer, but I play one on T.V.

What type of air drier? A pressure swing unit will eject a vastly different amount of heat than a refrigeration type or a heat regenerative type.
