Hi, [wavey3]

I'm looking for ways to do [red]accelerated life tests[/red] for different types of lighting (mainly Christmas lights).
[blue]How can I do this?[/blue]

cheers, [idea]

GM [morning]

Run them at a higher voltage. It is not a linear relationship though and dependent entirely upon the lamp design, (filament diameter, number of coils etc.) and quality of the power supply operating them. You may have to do a normal life test concurrently to maintain a baseline relationship.

Regards,

A higher ambient tempeature like a higher voltage can be utilized to accelerate the life test.
