I don't know much about cooling loads this small, but with water chillers in the 500 to 1000 ton range, absorbers are physically very large as compared to centrifugals or screw machines of the same cooling capacity. If you don't have room for a compressor, I'm not sure an absorber will help much in that regard. The units I'm familiar with have water as the refrigerant. Unless there's another style (and there could be), you won't be able to get anywhere near 32*F. Even with chilled water ouput temps near 40*F, the refrigerant water isn't far from the freezing point. One little blip and it'll freeze up.
