A325 Bolts

Has anyone encountered A325 bolts from China with red stains. Do you know anything about what is causing this problem?

Not using US material specs.
I have encountered this before, all parts were scrapped each time.

When and if your source is unreliable, I would test
a number of these bolts to ensure that they are or
meet the specs of A325 bolts.

I don't think these bolts are used on DOT projects. Last time we got a batch from Canada and CT DOT made us get rid of them eventought they were to anchor railings on top of parapet walls.

Perhaps they're melamine-laced ;-)
