A link between construction workforce monitoring/management and sustainable construction

Im currently doing some research on spatio-temporal monitoring of the workforce on a construction site and how his can aid in dynamic management, operational analysis, etc. However, I cannot seem to link this to any environmental issues on a construction site, which is an important link to make for my research. Any ideas around here about how these two topics relate to each other?
