Dear Mr. Shrinivasan,
Please try to create new thread with proper title rather than appending to a thread which is one year old!!!
This will help others to view your thread and answer accordingly.
Don't mind to create new thread if you have query not related to the existing thread.

If I understood your problem correctly, you have to solve in multiple load steps. Create first load step with giving the known displacement to free end and in second load step constraining that end.

To simulate unloading, you have to create another load step file with load = @zero. Solve the solution for your earlier and this new load step.
I would suggest to do this trial on simple problem before applying to actual case.
Hope this will help you.

You can use series of datum curves which are created by equation to define the intended shape of spring. Later these curves can be made into a composite curve and can be used for feature creation.

You can use View relate options for symbols, notes and 2D entities.
Or for creating multiple draft entities, you can use draft view options from tool menu. Here you can set the view in which you will be doing 2D drafing.
As far as size change is concerned, if your draft entities are...
I do agree with Hora's comments. I never believe in created dimensions. Thery are tends to fail in case small modifications too!!!!.
It is always a better practice to show dimensions rather than creating them. Regards,

Nice one. Certainly this will improve the productivity.
Enjoy modeling with Wildfire.
But I am having problem with Pan, Zoom and Rotate with mouse and using shift and Ctrl key!!!

...file created at back end which is recording all your activities on desktop. To re-run the earlier session, you have to edit appropriate trail.txt.* file in notepad. Delete the last few entries which are created while quiting your earlier session. Then save this file with any name with txt...
peglor,
You can find cut-out option in assembly, having command list Component - Adv. Utility - cut-out.
To extract the computational fluid domain from solid part, this is a excellent feature. What you have to do is, create a full solid dummy part. This you can create by copying the existing...
To have the reference of round dimension value in drawing, create a note with leader and enter the dimenison ID(i.e. &d1). You can get dimension ID from model - Modify - dimension - select he round feature - select the radius dimenison - property window will open. From this window you can get...
As suggested by Steve, you can have a centered square datum curved of 30"x30" in your start part template. When you create new part with default template, that square will appear there. This will lock your sketch envelop to datum curve size i.e 30"x30". Later on after...
The notation use to enter relation in assembly mode are differes from the notaion use to enter in parts mode.
In assembly mode, for each assembly parameter, you must specify a "session_ID" that refers to a component in the assembly.
Session ID can be get from relation menu.

Instead of making changes in sketch file i.e section file,(.sec*) make your changes in part file section and regenerate features. I don't think there is connectivity between section file and part file.
Once you change the section in part file, automatically Pro/E updates that part in assembly...
Ensure that all the parent parts and reference parts are included in CD. If a instance of family table is refered in assembly, then you should have your generic model on CD. If you write the exact message then it would be easy to understand the problem.
Thanks
Yogesh
Beside the way whcih 3Dlogix has suggested as above, you can create this using pipe command too. For that you must have point co-ordinates data (X,Y,Z). To make pipe attached to each other, you have to have multiple pipe command with appropriate sequence.
Thanks
Yogesh Birari
You can use simplified representation of assembly by excluding the parts which you don't want. Refer Pro/E help for more details about simplified representation.

In config.pro file, set option "set_trail_single_step = yes" When you run the trail file in other session, Pro/E ask you whether to continue or exit after each step.
In the session of Pro/E before it get crash, if you have not saved anything, then only it won't crash again otherwise it...
