RE: UTS of aluminium 6025

RE: UTS of aluminium 6025

well i have purchased a bar of aluminium from the metal supermarket and thats what they told me (its aluminium 6025).  yeah i tryed mat web and that kinda surprised me it wasnt there, just wanted to see if anyone out there had any experience with using it or even heard of it

RE: UTS of aluminium 6025

EN 573-3 lists 6005 and 6015, but not 6025.  I would ask your metal supermarket for a certification from the original mill: composition and to what standard was it produced.

RE: UTS of aluminium 6025

yeah im on the case as we speak. email sent off asking for a certificate.

cheers for the replys
