Would anyone please advise:

How to set the default units in SAP2000 ver Nonlinear 8.1.2 to SI units, such that each time I open a new model the units are by default in SI system, m, kN.. instead of in and kip.

Also the accompanying kit, SAPTemplates.exe, which is good for building arbitrary sections.

RE: SAP2000 ver Nonlinear 8.1.2 Default Unit

HI JACKYYAU

THE TRICK IS , BEFORE TO DO ANYTHING, PUT THE UNITS THAT YOU WANT. THEN ANY TIME THAT YOU WILL OPEN YOR FILE, YOU WILL FIND THE UNITS THAT YOU USED TO CREATE YOUR FILE ( SAY, KN,M).
YOU MUST FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE FOR EACH FILE YOU CREATE.
