Does anyone have a value for the co-efficient of friction for titanium on titanium please.
 
Refer to ASM Handbook vol 18 - Friction, Lubrication and Wear Technology. Here are some values from page 71.

1. Geometry: flat-on-flat
Humiduty: 50% RH
Static friction coefficient: 0.55

2. ASTM G98 Galling test
Static: 0.47
Dynamic: 0.40
