Graphite Loaded SiC

I've been hearing a bit about some new graphite loaded Silicon Carbides ( Purbide PGS-100 or CoorsTek SG-35- I think these are two of the materials being sold)  What is the big difference between these materials and say Alpha Sintered SiC or Reaction Bonded SiC?  The material is currently being marketed for sliding contact, specifically mechanical seals.

Was just reading the Coorstek pamphlet


The graphite in the GLSiC acts as a lubricant (like normal graphite) which makes it suitable for frictional applications.

RBSiC contains free silicon rather than carbon. It has a high strength, making it more suitable for wear (probably more so abrasion) applications.
