Failed for full nonlinear analysis after FEMAP export the analysis input file from working model

Failed for full nonlinear analysis after FEMAP export the analysis input file from working model

Failed for full nonlinear analysis after FEMAP export the analysis input file from working model

(OP)
Hi,

I am using FEMAP version 2306. I performed the "Large Deformation - Cantilever Beam" example provided by Simcenter FEMAP. I cannot get the same the full non-linear analysis results as given in the example document. (I can only get the linear result). I went to the example fold and copy the original FEMAP model file "CantileverLD.modfem"to my local fold and run the analysis and it worked successfully.

However, when I export a NASTRAN file form this working model to generate a NASTRAN input file; then read this *.nas file gain into a new blank FEMAP model; then run the analysis again, I can only get the linear results. NOT Full NONLINEAR RESULT.

I think there something happened during the export process. And this example is very sensitive to nonlinear parameters.

Does anyone know about this issue? I uploaded the working *.modfem file.

Thanks

RE: Failed for full nonlinear analysis after FEMAP export the analysis input file from working model

Dear hhcc_im,
I ran your FEMAP model and the analysis runs correctly, why you say "I cannot get the same full non-lienar analysis rersults"??.
You need to play with "Actual Deformation = ON" and "Scale Deformation = 1" to see nonlinear displacements results at scale 1:1 (real scale deformed shape).
See the link of the picture:

Best regards,
Blas.
