Corelations for predicting the surge point of a blower

Hello,

I am in the process for designing a blower from scratch for a very special service condition which is generally not met by commercial blower manufacturers. I would like to know if there are any correlations/theoretical techniques that can predict the surge point for a given impeller design?

This is a question for the blower manufacturers. In short, there are theoretical calcs, but they are just that.
