Hi all,

I am currently completing a peer review on an ETABS model. The floorplate has been modelled as a one-way slab with membrane elements. I’ve noticed that when reviewing the shell analysis mesh, there appears to be poor mesh connectivity as shown in the attached screenshot. The membranes typically have the mesh setting set to “Auto Cookie Cut”. However, for the plates which have the smaller mesh sizes, they are given a maximum element size of 1500mm, whereas all other floorplates are not specified. I am just wanting to check if this particular mesh connectivity is an issue, or whether it is okay for membranes only?

Regards!
