Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

(OP)
Now this is just weird. Was it some problem with one of the vehicles which spread to the others as they were sitting in Hertz's parking lot, or is there another explanation for why this happened to vehicles which just the day before were being used to ferry members of the First Family around over the holiday weekend:

Five cars rented by Biden's Secret Service burst into FLAMES in Nantucket: Investigation into blaze with vehicles used by the first family

• The vehicles that went up in flames were rented by the U.S. Secret Service during President Joe Biden's Thanksgiving vacation to Nantucket
• Fire happened Monday in the parking lot of the Nantucket Memorial Airport – just one day after the president left the island to return to Washington, D.C.
• The flames were just 40 feet from the airport's 25,000-gallon jet fuel tanks
• One of the vehicles, a Ford Expedition, is under a manufacturer battery recall
• The incident is now under investigation

And before anyone speculates, from what I've been able to find, NONE of these vehicles were electric.

Hunter left his crack pipe under the seat? Maybe we can merge conspiracies:. https://youtu.be/h-7GWVJCHqs

Hunter's new laptop must've overheated, dang lithium batteries.

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

Probably got a face mask stuck in the cooling fan.

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

Someone bought a flashtorch and left it on.

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

Didn't Hertz advertise that they were converting to EV's about 1 yr ago? Maybe the fire started at an EV battery, or its recharging station. Not a wise idea topark an EV near a fuel depot.

Just another pile of ashes left in Biden's wake...

They also crashed a "Beast" recently with Harris in it.

Maybe not an engineering failure as initially reported. She probably tried to grab the steering wheel. Why else cover it up?

Utter Non story IMHO.

Car parked in a parking lot caught fire.

Pretty clear only one vehicle caught fire and burnt a bit of the other cars.

One of 175,000 vehicle fires reported in 2021 or nearly 500 per day.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

I thought it was Trump that likes to try and grab the wheel when the Secret Service was driving. I can't tell these miscreants and deviants apart anymore, but we will just keep voting them back into positions of authority.

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

Here we go, blaming Trump again, or maybe it was Putin.surprise

For a clearer view of the damage / the fire, dive into the tweets/article from the Nantucket Current

I must say, mildly disappointed in the choice to give the dailymail extra clicks.

Why yes, I do in fact have no idea what I'm talking about

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

Do any of you actually believe we will find out exactly what happened?
When will we find out about JFK?
But it is fun to make up stupid theories, and see how far they go.

By making a big deal of a fake story in the news, we can lesson to the response, and see what grains of truth get shaken out. After all we can't trust the government to tell us the truth.

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

Actually in this situation we can only accept that astute journalists will not necessarily be covering the story, thus the benefit of public forums.

LOL

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

P.S. and thanks to nerds for pointing us to useful journalism.

RE: Five vehicles, which had been rented by the Secret Service, go-up in flames...

I'd replace "important" with inconsequential. Journalists don't want to cover stories that affect us directly because then we'll know when they get them wrong.
