Hello,

I override my component weight according to the real component in solidworks and assigned the material(PVC). If I export the model to MSC Apex and apply material properties of the same material (PVC) does the weight remains same or changes?

You can check that by solving simple static analysis using gravity. Or all FEA software comes with tool for weight query. Search in MSC Apex help documentation where is this option/how to check weight.

Normally whatever material is used in the CAD, it can be overridden in FEA software. This way its possible to do lot of iterations for same model by changing materials.
