We want to do valve shell test, can we do hydro test with pipeline system ?
please guide !

For the manufacturer, the shop test of the valve should be part of the PO requirement.
After installed, the valve is to be hydro tested with the piping system together.

The valve shell test is as per API 598

Hydro-test is as per ASME B 31.3

These two are entirely different and cannot be combined.
