AMADA FO3015NT WILL NOT CUT IN MANUAL AND IT WILL NOT ETCH
(OP)
Good morning everyone. As you can see in my subject line, we are having issues with our laser. I am new to the company I work for and they informed me that they have been replacing parts on the laser for about 8 months. They have replaced the HS2000 board, two different cables, everything on the head and a few other parts. The issue seems to be the height sense isn't working at all. The operator can load a program into the controller and burn the material just fine in auto, but if he tries to burn in manual (to cut the skeleton into more manageable pieces) it will go to pierce height and sit there. It does nothing after that. We only try the manual burn with the shutter off so we don't destroy any mirrors or nozzles. I'm thinking it may be either a dip switch on the HS2000 board or maybe even a software issue? Basically Amada wants to sit back and throw parts at it, and we keep getting the run a round saying they are working on it and they are awaiting a response from Japan. This has been 8 months in the making and we need a solution.
So if any of you guys have had a similar issue and have found a solution, PLEASE HELP ME!!
As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

RE: AMADA FO3015NT WILL NOT CUT IN MANUAL AND IT WILL NOT ETCH
Have you tried doing the scrap cutting before starting to cut the program?
I know you can detemine in DR.ABE if the scrapcutting should accur either before or after the program.
Im guessing it goes to pierce height and awaiting a variable to become true, but if it doesnt happen it just seems like it does nothing.
Cause if height sense wouldnt be working then you would have problems in auto aswell.
