Methanol Reformar Heater Stack emission Monitoring

Methanol Reformar Heater Stack emission Monitoring

Methanol Reformar Heater Stack emission Monitoring

(OP)
Hi All,
Our company HSE want to monitor reformar heater stack emission online,HSE told us to monitor Hg,lead, particulate matters and ozone.
Fuel gas is natural gas, my question is there any possibility to produce above said components in heater and particularly ozone and lead.
please share your experience and opinion about emission monitoring.
Best regards

RE: Methanol Reformar Heater Stack emission Monitoring

Never heard of lead in natural gas streams. There may be minute traces of Hg. This would still be the case even if you had a reformer tube leak - no lead in the catalyst or reformer syngas product. The same may be said for the fuel gas burners at the HTS and LTS and methanol conversion reactors. Dont know about ozone. NOx monitoring and reporting would be a must with most companies.

Thanks for your input, I also know that fuel gas have not such type of impurities that can produce ozone and lead in combustion gases.
Regards
