ASCE 7-10 Gust-effect factor for flexible structures

(OP)
Equation 26.9-10 for Gust-effect (Gf)factor for flexible structure in ASCE 7-10 is the exact same equation that was used in ASCE 7-05. Basic wind speed V is a key parameter in the determination of Gf. Since Basic wind speed has increased from MRI=50 to MRI=700 and the importance factor is now included in V by selecting the appropriate wind map, I would have expected changes in equation 26.9-10 to account for this. As a result, ASCE 7-10 gives higher Gf values for flexible structures while G value for rigid structures remained unchanged at 0.85. Is there something wrong with equation 26.9-10? Am I missing something here? Thanks.
