Alternative to Triloy alloy bars.

Is there an alternative to triloy alloy bars for shafting applications?

RE: Alternative to Triloy alloy bars.

I googled "triloy" and got references to a polycarbonate/abs alloy, i.e. plastic. Seems like just about any metal would work better?

RE: Alternative to Triloy alloy bars.

Yes, is the one from wearanswers.com. Will take a look at the offer from Niagara-LaSalle, thank you!

RE: Alternative to Triloy alloy bars.

The Stressproof from Niagara did not work, any other alternative?

RE: Alternative to Triloy alloy bars.

Didn't work how? Size? Strength? some other issue?

RE: Alternative to Triloy alloy bars.

A long time ago, Stressproof didn't work for me, because I bought it to nominal size, which didn't leave enough material to clean up the 'bark'.
I should have bought Stressproof G/P to size, or regular Stressproof oversize by 1/4" or more.

RE: Alternative to Triloy alloy bars.

You really need to answer Ed's question if you want more help.
