I have been given the responsibilty of spot checking design plans (specifically temporary sheeting designs).  Although the design consultant who prepares these plans has a fairly good track record of internal review before releasing plans, mistakes do happen.  My question: Where can I find a good reference for checking the adequacy of steel walers used in sheeting designs.  I have sufficient experience in checking soil loads, sheeting sections, etc. , but the manual method I always use for checking walers is too time consuming.  Thanks for any input.
