Sa 106 gr.b impact test

Hello

I have strange requirement from client . They ask for impact test for sa 106 gr.b. Pipe . MDMT is 25 F only . Ask per code is not required but it is additional requirement from client . Can we do the test in external lap?

Yes. And such additional requirements are often specified on top of the code requirements by clients, as Codes set minimum requirements.

Since it is not a Code requirement, thay also must specify the direction of the specimens and the acceptance criteria.

You can have it performed by a third party lab but don't be surprised if the test results do not meet the customer's criteria assuming that you have material in stock.
