Does placing a load affect concrete cure?

A project has 28 day breaks showing about 10% less than the target. 56-day breaks are coming in well over the 28 day target. The concrete is at about 30 days now at some locations. If the contractor places about 50% of the dead load on the structure will it affect the concrete’s curing or longevity? Is there an ACI section that discusses this?

If a structured slab, early loading can impact the long term deflections and serviceability a bit.

I wouldn't think that a 10% difference would effect the deflections much for 50% design DL.
Are you sure that's what's being applied though? There must be a live load component too. But if both are within 50% of total design service load I wouldn't be concerned for the next month while the strength comes up.

So the concrete is 30 days old, has obtained >90% of design 28-day strength, and strength can be expected to soon exceed design strength. The concrete should be fine for reasonable loads. During SCDOT bridge construction, bridge decks forms can be removed at 75% of design strength and the deck can be loaded fairly heavily at 90% of design strengths.

SM44....90% of strength is within acceptability limits of ACI. There are numerous reasons for delayed strength gain but we would need to aee the mix design. Common reasons for this are fly ash or ground granulated blast furnace slag included in the mix. Loading is likely irrelevant at that strength level.
