I have a few parts that have the hole to locate the screw or pin, and there is a plate that supports those parts, that will have the threaded holes and the holes to receive the pins.
Which is the best way to transfer holes from one part to another?

This will just be general advice, unless you want to tell us if you are a new or an experienced user of Inventor, what version of Inventor, etc.

You can DERIVE one part from another part. It allows the dimensions, sketches, features and workpoints in one part to control other parts. The intent if to make parts that always fit together, by design.

When you get comfortable with using DERIVE, you will figure out how to make ALL parts of an assembly from a SINGLE part IPT file and then DERIVE all of the component parts into separate parts, which then all ASSEMBLE into a single IAM assembly file - with just 1 command.

Since you've already got the first part derived, it's too late to generate it with a DERIVE command, but you can create new parts, and DERIVE them from this first part.

In the process of using DERIVE in this way, you will need to know how to manage multi-body parts. Expand the list of SOLIDS and the feature browser and turn on/off as needed.

I'm very new to inventor. I'm doing the trial at the moment.
How can I derive the points of a sketch or even a sketch? I thought that was only possible to derive surface and solids!

Start a new part and before doing anything else (if a sketch is started for you, cancel it) use the derive command.
Select the part you want to use for duplicating details.
The window that pops up asks you which features you want to transfer. Select any you want to use.
