Suspension Analysis using Matlab

Suspension Analysis using Matlab

Suspension Analysis using Matlab

(OP)
Hello everyone

I have just started a new project on my own.Though there are numerous softwares to carry out suspension geometry analysis I always had an interest to do the same using matlab.

Project Goal :
To carry out suspension geometry analysis using MATLAB for an open wheeler car.The intention of doing this project is basically to understand the underpinnings of mathematics and physics involved in suspension analysis. As solvers like ADAMS are like one inputs the values, simulates and gets the output.Whereas in Matlab the m-code programming will let one understand all the concepts involved behind.
The analysis will include.
 Camber gain as a function of wheel travel (-50 to + 50 mm wheel travel)
 Toe change as a function of wheel travel (-50 to +50 mm wheel travel)
 Roll center movement, front and rear
 Instantaneous center
 Caster angle
 Anti-squat and anti-pitch
 Bump steer
 Cornering stiffness

Haves :
Pick up points
Damper and spring parameters
Tyre parameters
Anti roll bar data
Steering data and all other relevant data.

Question :

I am a beginner in Matlab and I would like to know how to approach this problem.
All your guidance and suggestions are welcome.
