UT Can be Performed Successfully on HDPE Butt-Fusion Joints?

(OP)
Hi! I would like to know the importance of NDE (UT & RT) tests on HDPE Butt Fusion Joints for HDPE Pipes and fittings. Are the test results are fruitful?
Is it necessary to check the all joints with NDE testing when joining method followed based on standard parameters (like fusion material, temp, fusion pressure, cooling time etc.)by following international standards like ASTM F2620, ISO 21307 etc.,
I read that the NDE test results for these joints are minimum and not essential and test results are not fruitful. Can anybody explain in this regard?
Thanks in Advance - RAM
