I am working in a company which is planning to ship electronic equipment to the USA from Australia. However I am not sure what approval is required in order to enable this. Therefore I was wondering if anyone knows where I should look in order to find out what approvals are required and what is the importing process in United States?

Google US customs and border protection, it is very strict, you may need a licence or maybe a specific person that you are shipping to.
