Bentley in Delphi7

Bentley in Delphi7

Bentley in Delphi7

(OP)
Hi

I am a software developer - not an engineer. So I don't know Bentley. But we've got a client that uses Bentley to
design their steel structures.

We are developing a program for them that will help them with the maintenance on their structures.
The development is done in Delphi7.

So now I need a component that I can use in Delphi to display a steel structure that was designed in Bentley.
It must be displayed in a 3D format and we must be able to change the colors of a beam or a column.
And if we click on a beam, info like the unique id number must be sent to Delphi, so that Delphi can pick that up
and display relevant info on that beam.

Does anybody know of a component/activex like this. And what info must I get from the Bentley system.
Meaning will all the info necessary to display a 3D object be in a .dgn file?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Karen
