Red film on inside of laser mirrors and channels.

(OP)
I have a Mitsubishi LC10 Laser. There is a heavy build up of a red film inside the mirror housings as well as on the mirrors. Can anyone tell me what this is from. We cleaned and aligned all mirrors about 1000 hours ago and all was fine.

RE: Red film on inside of laser mirrors and channels.

Herb,

I am not familiar with the LC10 laser, but I do recall that we  had a problem with our laser beam on a 3020 LXP clipping the inside of the beam path bellows, which resulted in an odd colored film on the bend mirrors and mirror housings.
