What recommedation for tank coating for liquid sulphur
What recommedation for tank coating for liquid sulphur
(OP)
I have to install a tank (12m dia.x 8m high) to hold moltem sulphur. Sulpur will be heated to 120 to 180deg.
Corrosion of the floor has occurred in similar tanks before.
I am considering Carbon steel with coating. What recommendations can be made.
Alternates are Carbon steel, with stainless linings or solid stainless?

A more enconomical option would be to investigate the use of inorganic zinc silicates, in all cases you must consult the material manufactures and seek their advice.
