What recommedation for tank coating for liquid sulphur

I have to install a tank (12m dia.x 8m high) to hold moltem sulphur. Sulpur will be heated to 120 to 180deg. Corrosion of the floor has occurred in similar tanks before. I am considering Carbon steel with coating. What recommendations can be made. Alternates are Carbon steel, with stainless linings or solid stainless?

RE: What recommedation for tank coating for liquid sulphur

You are limited in choice due to the operating temperatures stated. There are some vinly esters available that will handle these temperatures, however, these are expensive and require very skilled appicators to ensure the integrity of the applied coating.

A more enconomical option would be to investigate the use of inorganic zinc silicates, in all cases you must consult the material manufactures and seek their advice.
