Zinc plating on sheet metal parts 1

Hi All,

I have 2 sheet metal parts. Material is 22GA (0.8mm) CRS. The flange on one of the part gets spot welded (1/8") to the other part and then this assembly gets zinc plated.

This surface is not getting plated since it is not exposed.Is there any way of plating the surface of the flange that gets spot welded to the other part.

We want to avoid using pre-plated sheet metal. Is there any zinc spray similar to spray paint which can be sprayed on to that surface of the flange?

Yes you can buy cold galv zinc spray in an aerosol can, check with your paint supplier.
