Hi,

A bit of a silly question maybe, but I remeber that I've seen a picture once on the internet with a drag comparison between several kinds (shapes) of airships, which I can't find anymore.

Does anyone know about such studies and where I can find these comparisons.

I've been looking in Hoerner's book as well, but that was much more general, not specifically for airships.

Thanks,

Gerrit

Gerrit,

Although I don't think this is specifically what you are looking for, there was a NACA Report 117 from the 1920's that dealt with drag of the Zepplin airships.

Hi Gerrit:

Check at "FLUID DYNAMIC DRAG" of Hoerner.

Cheers

Yes Fluid Dynamic drag from Hoerner will surely have it in, it has old ww2 aeroplanes in, im pretty sure a zeplin will be in there. Its a fairly old book though.
