XY co ordinates

Can you inport XY co ordinates straight into a model. Example - straight from surveying equipment (CVS data ). Join up all the points and produce a model of the ground area.

I think you should be able to use the Scan to 3D add-in for that.

I only need 2D, the 3D looks complicated and I don't think I can get it.

as far as I know the surveying data is usually 3D even in AutoCAD.
