Dear Experts,
I need some clarification regarding Dual welder qualification.
In WQT 14"Dia pipe 2 welders were performed welding, after the completion of welding one welder was rejected due to IP and the other was accepted, same test piece was RT done and the result same. Now my clarification
1. can other welder can be qualified for the production weld? (In code where it is mentioned?)
2. rejected welder needs retest? (with new welder or qualified welder)

Did your welders do 1/2 the pipe each or did one do the root/hotpass and the other do the fill/cap ?
If it was 1/2 the pipe each they both do not comply with ASME IX.

QW-302.2 Volumetric NDE. When the welder or
welding operator is qualified by volumetric NDE, as permitted
in QW-304 for welders and QW-305 for welding
operators, the minimum length of coupon(s) to be examined
shall be 6 in. (150 mm) and shall include the entire
weld circumference for pipe(s),

Yes 1/2 was welded by each welder.
By the way thanks for your valuable comments.
As per evaluation they both are not accepted.
