Working out the Heat Pump Capacity using Flow and Return Values

Hi,

This is the first time I am working with Heat Pumps.

How do I work out the Heat Pump Capacity using given Flow IN/OUT values? Is there a standard equation I can improvise with?

Rejected heat = cooling capacity + compressor input. Work out the formula for each in Btu/hr or similar unit.
 
EnergyProfessional's response is the best way to find rated capacity. After you find the unit model no. go to the manufacturer's web site and find table of capacity based on cfm, gpm and entering water temperature. Note that rejected heat = cooling load + compressor input. Measuring flows and temperature rise would only give you cooling load at the particular instance, not rated capacity.
