wood piling repair 1

need to repair saltwater dock's wood pilings. plan on using pvc pipe to encase existing wood pilings that is 6 inches larger diameter than existing wood pile. place steel reinforcement rings attached to vertical steel inside pvc pipe. then fill with concrete (piles are exposed at low tide so will fill pipe at low tide. piles are 12 feet above mud line. piles support walking deck 6 feet high and have about 60 percent of cross section remaining. any suggestions?

What you are proposing is done every day. The process is quite expensive any way you look at it. If you have a good percentage of the piling with the condition as you posted I think you should take a look at replacing some if not all of the pilings.
If you go your way I would get some help on the cement grout that will be required.

I have a house built on creosoted wood pilings --maybe 20-25 yrs old. Typical gulf coast construction. Concrete slab underneath. Some of the pilings are decaying at the ground(slab)line. Any way to repair the decayed area and treat it so as to arrest further deterioration?
