Not my project.

A friend of mine was telling me about a job he did a few years back on the coast. He does a ton of residential construction and we were talking about piles. He told me about a project on the ocean where the pile driver was trying to place some wood piles. The pile got about 8-10' of embedment before it hit refusal. The pile contractor didn't want to drive another one and they got into a slight argument. Well fast forward a few years...... this is the bottom of the pile that hit refusal.

I guess that just gives some reference to how much scour can really happen and what happens when a wood pile hits refusal.

I didn't know Franki piles came in wood <G>.
