I am working in the US with the 2018 NDS and would like to know how what equations are needed to find what the NDS Commentary in 3.5.2 calls long term and short term deflections in wood columns?

Section 3.5.2 essentially states that your deflection calculations shall be determined by putting a creep factor, "Kcr", on your dead load. For a simple span beam your typical deflection equation is all you need. Just determine the long term deflection (Typically Dead Load) on it's own and then the short term deflection (Typically anything else like Live Load/Snow Load) on its own. Follow the equation by putting the appropriate factor on long term deflection to determine your overall deflection.
