Hello,

What is the difference between Assigning Connector Assignment (ex.- MPC-Beam Connector) to Mesh-Independent Fasteners and to a Wire Feature?
How will the Abaqus Interpret the difference?

Thanks.

Mesh-independent fasteners are specific features meant for easy definitions of connections between surfaces without having to worry about the underlying meshes. They are applied in specific ways and they work on circular regions of surfaces. Check their description in the following documentations chapter: Constraints --> Surface-Based Constraints --> Mesh-Independent Fasteners. Wires are just features defining connector geometry. They are applied directly to points in the model (geometrical vertices or mesh nodes).

Then if I want to assign MPC-Beam Connector, will it make a difference if I assign it to a Wire feature or to a Mesh-Independent Fastener?
