There is a process of checking the alignment of a series of bores by measuring to a taut wire stretched between the outer most bores. The "sag" of this wire must be incorporated into the results. Has anyone ever seen / used any kind of a computer program or spread sheet to do this analysis.
I envision a spreadsheet where one inputs the various measurements; an option to choose the type of measurement (4 for a solid bore or 6 if measuring to a split line), the number of bores, distance from anchor to first bore, number of bores, distances between bores (even spacing or not), to other anchor
Then.. the spread sheet does the math, checks for possible errors in measurement by comparing results to a true circle, calculates the offset of the bore (considering the sag of the wire at the location measured) and then makes a representitive graph. Or possibly assume something like AutoCad is installed and use the results to make a 3D drawing of the bores as they are offset to a true line.
Anyone??? Thanks for your time
