Hi all
I am looking for formulae to determine the centers for the two wing dies (side dies)to bend HDPE pipes.
We have built the proto type machine but the wing die centers used seem to be too small.
1. Bend radius 3 x Diameter.
2. Pipe preheated before bending between 110 - 140 deg c.
3. The proto type has been built.
4. Pipe sizes vary from 110-800ND.
5. Have attached sketch to show arrangement.
6. Have bent +- 80 pipes of various sizes to date but I am looking for a theoretical way of calculating the perfect wing die centers.
I have tried to find info on this but to no avail, we are now using trial and error which is not ideal, please help required urgently.
