Hi everyone,

I am currently reviewing the structural calculation for a window assembly. Please take a look at the attached photo. I have a question regarding the tributary width. I see Tw1=1.96ft and Tw2=3.00 ft, but I'm not sure where exactly these values come from. (Solved)

Additionally, I am also trying to locate the line load at the mullion, which is specified as 8.201 lb/in. Any insights on this would be highly appreciated.

The wind load is 54.5 psf, and 30 ps and the span is 8.5 ft.

Thank you all in advance for your help!

Thank you for your response. Could you please advise me on how to calculate the tributary width based on window elevation? Also, how do I determine the line load at the mullion (8.201 ln/in)

Dimensions across the top:
I observe that 4.625" + 16.875" + half of 4.125" = 23.5625" = 1.96'
And also half of 4.125" + 29.375" + 4.625" = 36.0625" = 3.00'

I don't see anything corresponding to the 8.201 lb/in.
Also, I'm no window expert, so can't say if any of this is reasonable or not.

Thank you for your response! If anyone could help determine the line load (8.201 lb/in), I would greatly appreciate it. I have attached a file showing wind loads and the line load. Please take a look.

(1.96' x 54.5 psf + 3' x 30 psf )/2 = 98.41 lb/ft = 8.2 lb/in

Thank you. I really appreciate your response!
