Hi guys!
I'm working with a analyze for a simple one-span bridge with concrete deck and steel box girder. My question is how I should apply the vertical wind loads, in a simple way. Yes, I'm using the Eurocodes.
In the Eurocode there is one way to find the wind force for buildings(roofs), and one for bridges. The calculation for bridges doesn't say very much about how you apply it, as I see. Is it like a point load, strip load or surface load?
I got a tip about using the roof-method, but could that be correct? Like divide the deck into areas with different c-factors (highest in the corners and edges). Then I would need to calculate the wind force like the way you do for a building, not a bridge?
Any ideas? Yes, I'm pretty new into this subject.
