Hello - I am designing a structural steel support for a switchgear configuration in Canada.

When it comes to combined wind and ice loading is there a way to reduce the wind pressure so the load is not so drastic?

I am following the S37-24 Code and have deduced this combination 1.25D + 1.45I + 0.7W, where D-deadload, I-ice load, W wind load.

From a quick google search, AI stated that the NESC had a clause that allows a reduced wind pressure for this combination but I could not find anything in the code.

I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on this topic. Thank you.
