Wind Loads at Entry Canopy

How do you treat wind loads on an entry canopy? Do you view it as an overhang or as an open structure? In this particular case, the canopy protrudes about 10'-0" from the building and is about 40'-0" wide.
 
Agree. Your overhang distance might be less than the canopy depth.
 
Treat it with more than 50% blockage under the open building chart in ASCE 7. I know this has been discussed in other threads here.

 
And what height does everyone use for this condition? Canopy or building?
