why won't bom export to excel??? 2

Major frustration - when i go to export a bom to excel i get error dialog that says: "couldn't create database--exception: unable to append data to file."
Does anyone know why this happens?

Version of INV, version of excel?

have you run excel already after installing Inventor? (like in the case of a new computer,etc..)

restarted computer lately?

My default export option is to an Access database file (.mdb), so I change it to export to an Excel file instead. Maybe that's happening to you?
