Hi all

I'm using a system with an ATI FIREGL V3350 (256MB) with recommended driver, running SWx64 SP4.0.
In a project I am currently working, the realview is available in parts an subassemblies, without any noticeable problem. But in the top level assembly, the realview icon is not accessible.
Is there any limitatios for the realview, like a number of assembly levels, a number of parts, videocard memory,...?
Can this be a videocard problem? Is there any SW option I'm not using properly?

Regards

In SW08 there are going to be some cards not able to run Realview. You didn't specify which version you are using... however there are certain drivers that support realview as well. Make sure you are using the correct driver.

I am using the driver recommended by solidworks (8.353.1.1-047761 - MCP64A 6.14.10.5120). I downloaded the driver from SW site. This driver should give all feature support for realview. But I'm going to reinstall it, just to be sure that everything is OK.
If the driver is not correct, could realview work with some models and not with other?

Its possible.

Make sure that you turn your AV and all spyware off before installing.

If this persists I would contact your VAR as I would suspect if you have the "Shaders" folder in your SW directory and the correct VC and driver your RV should be working.

Depends how the material is applied; with the Real View or Standard options activated under the Advanced Graphics section. It shouldn't, but I have noticed it makes a difference sometimes.

Also depends whether a colour or texture has been applied at the TL assy.

In either case, the icon should be available. It should not be greyed-out.

Turn off Large Assembly Mode in your top level assembly.

Handleman is right!

Large assembly mode must be unchecked in order to have access to realview (or have less components than the assigned limit for this mode).

Thank you all for your help.
